Fees to be charged by the Winthrop Police Department
A. Alarms systems, Private or Business;
(1) Malfunction and/or needless alarm requiring response by Police Department:
(2) On a second false alarm, a warning notice will be written.
(3) After third alarm in twelve-month period, each alarm: $100.
(4) After 20th such alarm in twelve-month period, each alarm $200.
B. "Malfunction or needless alarm" defined: Any failure of the alarm system to operate in a normal or usual manner, namely,
for the purposes of signaling an alarm which requires the presence of police to protect life, property and safety of persons from harm or damage.
C. The owner of the property (business or private residence) where the alarm is located shall be liable for payment of all fees.
