Landing Under Full Construction Tuesday 9/8

Winthrop Harbormaster Chuck Famolare III has informed Winthropite.com that the Winthrop Public Landing will be under full construction Tuesday, September 8. The Harbormaster requests that all vehicles be removed from the Landing by Monday, September 9, at 11:00 PM.

*UPDATE*

Due to the reclamation of the Parking Lot at the Town Landing, please be advised that the Landing will be under a major construction phase starting next week, immediately after the Labor Day long-weekend holiday. This phase is for the reconstruction of the parking lot area.

At such time, the Landing will be deemed an "Active Worksite/Construction Area."

All owners of vehicles will be asked to NOT park in the Landing, starting at 11PM, Monday evening, September 7, 2009. This parking ban will be and remain in effect until approximately 4PM, Thursday, September 10, 2009.

In addition, please be advised, starting at 11PM, Monday evening, September 7, 2009, that foot traffic is prohibited at the Landing, due to the nature of construction and heavy machinery being operated within the construction area(s).

Any vehicles NOT REMOVED will be subject to a parking violation and towed at the owner’s expense.

The Town will be working with Argus Construction to keep this project on schedule.
