As we approach the Holidays, it's time to think about our men and women from Winthrop currently serving in the military all over the world.

If you have a son, daughter, aunt, uncle, father or husband in the military, I would like you to contact myself, Richard Honan, or Winthrop Veterans Agent, Larry Holmes. We would like to send each of them a holiday or Christmas gift from the people of Winthrop. Let us know whether they are single or married. We can send gifts to individual soldiers or to those with families and children. We will send a gift card to help purchase toys for children.

This request is not limited to those men and women currently serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. We want to send a holiday gift to any soldier, anywhere in the world, whether it be Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Fort Bliss, Texas, Japan, Korea, Germany or aboard ship in the Pacific. We want each and every Soldier, Airman, Sailor, Coast Guardsman or Marine from Winthrop to receive a holiday or Christmas gift as a symbol of appreciation from the residents of Winthrop, Massachusetts.
