From Wednesday, November 18 through Sunday, December 20, there will be a sports equipment charity drive to benefit the Greater Boston area YMCA. Please help in collecting used sports equipment to donate to the YMCA of the Greater Boston Area. Most will be going home for Thanksgiving so if you could bring back some gear from your childhood years it'd be really appreciated. I know I have a lot of bats, gloves, balls, etc. that just sit in my garage at home and collect dust, so I figured it could be put to better use in the hands of less fortunate children in the local area. You can drop equipment off either at 21 Capen St. in Medford or on the porch of the Delta Upsilon fraternity house at 114 Professors Row, Somerville. Anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated. The YMCA representative said they cannot accept clothing or jerseys, and have a serious need for women's equipment. Gear from any sports will be accepted.
