SAUGUS MA JULY 29, 2010: Jimi Jamison and John Ford Coley will perform at Kowloon Restaurant and Entertainment Complex as part of the Kowloon 60th Anniversary Concert Series on Thursday July, 29th, 2010.
Acclaimed as one of the "Top Ten Male Vocalists," Jimi Jamison delivers a strong and powerful performance. "I'm Always Here," which he wrote and performed for the worldwide #1 TV show, Baywatch, is certain to solidify his standing as one of the premier performers in the music industry today. During Jimi's tenure as lead vocalist for Survivor, he enjoyed five singles in the Top 10, four gold records and double platinum albums. Fan favorites include "Eye of the Tiger," "The Search is Over" and "High on You." In his new Crossroads Moment CD, Jimi reaches yet higher heights.
Remembering his humble beginnings in rural Mississippi, Jimi is dedicated to benefits assisting numerous charities. Just returning from a tour oversees for our troops in Iraq, Germany, Afghanistan, and more, he will perform his hits at Kowloon.
Pop Grammy nominated John Ford Coley, part of the 70s/80s duo "England Dan and John Ford Coley", maintains a viable role in today's music as an exciting performing artist, musician and actor. A classically trained pianist and excellent guitar player, combined with five generations of Texas heritage, John sings and performs mainstream, country and folk hits that have allowed him to continue an active performance roster year-round.
Best-known for his musical talents, John's well-known hits include: "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight", "Part of Me, Part of You", "Gone Too Far", "We'll Never Have To Say Goodbye Again", "Come Back to Me", "What Can I Do With This Broken Heart", "Sad To Belong", "Westward Wind", and "Nights are Forever".
Our Host - Gracie Award Winning Candy O'Terry of Magic 106.7. Born in New York City and raised in Connecticut, Candy O'Terry came to Boston to dive for Boston College. A singer since childhood, Candy fronted a band throughout the 80's. She segued into radio by doing voiceover work and singing jingles. Candy landed a part time job as secretary to the Program Director in 1990 and has worked her way up the ranks to become the station's Assistant Program Director. She co-hosts AFTERNOON DRIVE with Dan Justin, doing MAGIC BACKSTAGE, news, weather and Magic Real Time Traffic updates.
Dan and Candy are known for their slice-of-life storytelling. She can be heard on Saturdays from 9-noon and on Sundays as co-host of our award winning program, EXCEPTIONAL WOMEN. Candy is the station's pinch hitter for Mike Addams, Gay Vernon and Nancy Quill.
