Breaking news: on Thursday, October 29, at approximately 10:00 PM, five gunshots were fired in the vicinity of Crest Avenue, in the 100 block area. It is reported to have been a drive-by shooting by the MS-13 gang, but no injuries have been reported. According to a source, the alleged perpetrator or perpetrators "were waiting for a resident living 2 buildings over... who just happen(ed) to run in the direction of all the business(es) on Crest Ave., actually hitting the building next to (the laundromat) at an individual who happen(ed) to run in this direction." A green Honda Civic was sighted. MS-13 has been known to have quite a few gang members in and around Maverick Square in East Boston. They can sometimes be identified by small teardrop tattoos under their eyes. As additional information becomes available we will keep our readers updated.
