Christmas Trees for the Troops

From Richard Honan's newsletter:

Spent this morning with a great group of elves packing "Trees for the Troops". Forty boxes were filled with a 36" Christmas tree complete with lights, garlands, ornaments, reindeer hats, two types of "cake in a jar" (complete with frosting) made by Bridget Mulkerrin of Hot Diggitty, bags of fancy chocolates from Harbor Sweets from my Marblehead friend Frank Orne, candy canes, bags of cashews and mixed nuts along with CDs of Christmas music. A lot of effort went into making sure that many of our men and women in Afghanistan and other places in the middle east will have a Christmas Tree this holiday season. It was Winthrop at its best!!!

These "Trees for the Troops" will be shipped out next week with arrival in Afghanistan by December 1st.

A big Thank You to Richard, Bridget, Frank, everyone who helped, and our troops!
