Armed Robberies

Recently, two local businesses have been robbed. The first known robbery occurred on February 27, 2010 at approximately 8PM at the Pleasant Stop Convenience Store. Two white males, one armed with a machete and the second male armed with a handgun, entered the store and demanded money from the register. Both males were wearing plastic bags over their heads and had the eyes and mouth areas cut out. While conducting this investigation, Winthrop Police Officers became aware of a second armed robbery at the Quick Mart on Shirley Street which actually occurred on Friday night. The details of the Quick Mart armed robbery are still being gathered and processed.
