The Wedding Singer
Beginning Friday, October 16, 2009, The Tony award-winning musical The Wedding Singer, based on the Adam Sandler comedy, is playing at our own Award-Winning Winthrop playmakers, 60 Hermon Street. Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM and Sundays at 3 PM.
The Wedding Singer takes place in 1985 in the heart of Ridgefield, New Jersey and Robbie Hart is the rockin' local wedding singer. He's the life of the party, until his own fiancée leaves him at the altar. Shot through the heart, Robbie works through his pain performing at local events and helping his co-worker/friend, Julia, plan for her upcoming wedding. Several twists and turns arise as Julia and Robbie grow closer during their time together and they have to decide whether they have chosen the right path to follow.
