Precinct 3 Community Meeting

On Monday, October 19, 2009, the Winthrop Police Department will be holding a community meeting for Precinct 3 residents from 7 to 9 pm at the Winthrop Yacht Club. Precinct 3 includes Cutler Street through Tafts Ave. including Water Tower Hill residents. The meeting is to meet with the Winthrop Police Department Administration in an education forum designed to:

1) Heighten awareness of activities in which have been occurring in your precinct;

2) Tips on how not to become a victim;

3) Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime efforts;

4) Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships; and

5) Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

This invitation is extended to all elected officials as they are an important part of this community policing initiative.
