A Taste of Winthrop Logo The Winthrop Chamber of Commerce's 4th annual "A Taste of Winthrop" will be held on Wednesday, September 30 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. The Winthrop Yacht Club, at 649 Shirley Street, will host this food extravaganza on two floors. From appetizers to entrees to desserts, guests will be treated to a wide array of tastes and cuisines, including Italian, American, Greek, Asian, Mexican, Mediterranean, Columbian, seafood, vegetarian, and others. Over 30 restaurants, caterers, cafes, hotels, and bakeries will be providing delicious food samples. A Taste of Winthrop is a fundraiser for the Winthrop Chamber of Commerce Beautification program, the goal of which is to help make business districts cleaner, greener, and free of trash and graffiti as well as improve storefronts with better signage. Tickets are just $30: order online, call 617-846-9898 or stop by the office at 207 Hagman Road in Winthrop Center Monday-Friday 10:00-2:00. Reserved tables of ten may be purchased in advance for $300.
