TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8
7:30 AM: A caller reported that a
skunk with a yogurt container over
its head was wandering in the area
of Waldemar Avenue and Wheelock
Street. Animal Control Officer (ACO)
Van Buskirk responded and freed the
animal.
10:08 AM: A Temple Avenue resi-
dent reported that vandals damaged a
screen in a porch.
10:16 AM: A Terrace Avenue
resident reported the attempted theft
of two kayaks from the rear of her
home.
12:34 PM: A resident came to the
station to report that her employee
credit union debit card had been used
fraudulently for transactions at Kohl’s
and a Burrito Mex restaurant.
2:17 PM: A Lincoln Street resident
reported that the windshield on her
motor vehicle (MV) had been dam-
aged.
8:42 PM: A resident came to the
station to report that her 17-year-old
daughter had been struck by a MV
at Pleasant Street and Washington
Avenue on Sunday night at 11 p.m.
and fled the scene.
9:02 PM: Officers arrested Daniel
Todd Bitopoulos, 27, of 98 Bellevue
Ave., on a charge of illegal posses-
sion of a Class A controlled narcotic
substance. The arrest occurred in the
area of the White Hen Pantry.
9:34 PM: A local resident who is
the defendant in a 209A order request-
ed a police escort to her mother’s
house in order to retrieve personal
belongings.
11:07 PM: A resident reported a
possible phone scam in which the
caller identified herself as working
for a company known as Global
International and asked for personal
financial information.
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9
12:20 AM: Officers Brown and
S. Delehanty ordered loud music
being played in the cars of two fish-
ermen at the end of municipal lot
on Washington Avenue to be turned
down.
12:41 AM: Officers Oyola and
Brown ordered a group of loud party-
goers at a Jefferson Avenue residence
to turn off the music.
3:10 AM: Officers returned to
the Jefferson Avenue premises and
ordered the occupants to cease their
partying for the night.
7:25 AM: A Banks Street resi-
dent reported that her daughter’s new
bicycle had been stolen from outside
the home overnight.
2:53 PM: Officers Nestor and S.
Perrin dispersed a group of rowdy
youths from the area of Energy to
Go.
7:10 PM: Officers arrested James
A. MacDonald, 20, of 47 Tewksbury
St., on an outstanding warrant.
8:12 PM: An officer assisted the
parties with the exchange of papers
at a motor vehicle accident (MVA) at
Energy to Go.
8:27 PM: A Shirley Street resident
came into the station to request that
an officer escort her into her residence
because she believed a breaking and
entering (B&E) occurred. Detective
Jaworski conducted an investiga-
tion and determined there had been
a B&E.
8:34 PM: A Plummer Avenue resi-
dent reported that a neighbor’s dog
was barking. Officer Holden was
unable to locate the dog’s owner.
11:21 PM: Officers Brown and
Oyola directed a Pico Avenue resident
to turn down his loud music.
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10
8:23 AM: A Wave Way Avenue
resident reported a B&E into his MV
and the theft of some cash.
8:52 AM: A 209A order was
received from the Lowell District
Court to be served upon a local resi-
dent named as the defendant.
9:40 AM: Officer Donellan stopped
a MV at Shirley Street and Hadassah
Way and issued a citation to the
operator for a civil motor vehicle
infraction (CMVI).
10:14 AM: A Nevada Street resi-
dent reported a B&E into her MV and
the theft of several items.
3:25 PM: Officer Donellan stopped
a MV on Tafts Avenue and issued a
citation to the operator for a CMVI.
3:38 PM: Officer Donellan stopped
a MV at Shirley Street and Hadassah
Way and issued a citation to the
operator for a CMVI.
8:48 PM: A report of a large,
deceased raccoon in the middle of
Bartlett Road at Orlando Avenue was
reported to the ACO.
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11
5:43 AM: Officers responded to
a report of an argument between
the occupants of an apartment on
Washington Avenue. The officers
directed them to quiet down.
7:14 AM: A Bowdoin Street resi-
dent reported that fruit salad had been
dumped over his landlord’s MV.
3:27 PM: An officer moved a long
a group of youths from the area of the
D&T Market on Shirley Street.
5:00 PM: Officers Jaworski and
Bonavita arrested Curtis William
Hahn, 22, of 495 Pleasant St., and
Benvin Chukwuanu, 26, of 1102
Governor’s Drive, on outstanding
warrants.
7:02 PM: A Governor’s Drive
resident reported a B&E in her apart-
ment.
11:00 PM: A caller reported fol-
lowing a blue Volvo that was being
operated erratically. Officer Bonavita
located the MV at Beacon Circle and
determined that the operator had been
having an argument with a friend on
her cell phone.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12
3:15 AM: An officer stopped a MV
at Shirley Street and Coral Avenue for
failing to stop at the stop sign. When
a check with the Registry of Motor
Vehicles (RMV) determined that the
operator was unlicensed, the officer
issued a citation to the operator for he
criminal offense of unlicensed opera-
tion of a motor vehicle and for the
civil violation for failing to stop. The
officer ordered the MV towed.
8:18 AM: A report of a MVA near
Veterans and Beach roads was referred
to the State Police.
8:59 AM: The owner of a MV visit-
ing friends on Walden Street reported
that the driver’s side mirror had been
smashed.
9:03 AM: A caller reported that
Walden Street was flooded. Officer
M. Delehanty responded and deter-
mined that the street needed to be
shut down. The Departmnt of Public
Works (DPW) was notified.
12:20 PM: Officers M. Delehanty
and Turner responded to a minor
MVA at the CVS.
6:44 PM: Officers McCarthy and
Turner responded to a report of a
disturbance between neighbors on
Billows Street. The officers restored
the peace.
7:23 PM: Officers responded to a
report of an MVA on River Road. One
party was transported to the Mass.
General Hospital (MGH).
8:52 PM: An Ocean View Street
resident reported that someone was
trying to break into her home. Officers
Bonavita and McCarthy responded
and determined that a large raccoon
was at a window. They shooed it
away.
11:11 PM: Officer Freeman
stopped a MV at Shirley Street and
issued a citation to the operator for
a CMVI.
11:27 PM: Officers responded to a
report of a ruckus in an apartment at
the Nautilus on Washington Avenue.
They arrested James A. MacDonald,
20, of 247 Washington Ave., on a
charge of disorderly conduct.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13
3:05 AM: Officers responded to
a report of a rowdy group on Shore
Drive at Crest Avenue. They arrested
Jackelyn Figueroa, 20, of Revere, on
an outstanding warrant.
3:08 AM: Officers responded to
a report of a MVA at Veterans Road
and Washington Avenue. A criminal
citation was issued to one of the
operators.
11:37 AM: A Main Street resident
reported that he came home to find a
B&E in progress in his apartment, and
a neighbor came running out. A detec-
tive will investigate.
1:05 PM: A Pleasant Street resident
reported that his MV had been dam-
aged overnight.
11:26 PM: A boat owner reported
a B&E into her boat at the Crystal
Cove Marina.
