Cooper’s Clan supporters since 2007 has raised over $15,000.  You’ve opened your hearts and wallets and raised a record amount in 2009 $8300 in support of Cooper’s Clan in the Greater Boston Walk Now for Autism.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donations in the past.
Unfortunately there is more to be done.  There are now more children being diagnosed and families affected by it, my own included.

1:45 a.m. — A caller reports that someone is knocking on her door and covering up the peephole at her apartment on Governor’s Drive, but nobody is there when units respond.

9:11 a.m. — Officers respond to the Cummings School, where a student showed Internet threats to a school administrator.

10:28 a.m. — A caller reports that a sign in front of the CVS on Woodside Avenue is broken and about to fall down. DPW is notified.

11:12 a.m. — WPD receives a report of a missing seventh grader, who allegedly detailed plans to run away to at least one other student, as well as on Facebook. Fortunately, the student returned home safely a short time later.

MWRA Water Main Break Info for Winthrop Residents

This page will serve as a resource for information related to the MWRA water main break and how it applies to Winthrop residents.

On Tuesday, May 4, Governor Deval Patrick has ended the boil water order for communities served by the MWRA, which includes Winthrop.

From the Office of the Governor

Residents are advised to "flush" their water following the lifting of the boil order in order to clear plumbing of potentially contaminated water. Flushing your household and building water lines includes interior and exterior faucets; showers; water and ice dispensers; water treatment units, etc.
